Steve Gryb
Steve Gryb has developed a unique edutainment approach for his interactive, exciting, and fun percussion show which stresses both entertainment and education. The show, The Rhythm Is Going to Get You, is in constant demand at major festivals, state fairs, indoor and outdoor concert series, First Night presentations, Day Out with Thomas events, and schools throughout North America. In addition, Steve has developed an educational hands-on exhibit called a Percussion Petting Zoo which features hundreds of diverse percussion instruments from around the world. As an educator and performer, Steve Gryb has received awards from the International Association of Jazz Educators, Barry University, Florida International University, the Sunshine Jazz Organization of South Florida, and the prestigious Arts Educator of the Year award from the Florida Children’s Cultural Coalition. Also, he's the author of a Jazz appreciation DVD, Listening to Jazz, published by Pearson Prentice-Hall. Steve received both his Master of Music degree in Jazz Pedagogy, and his Bachelor of Music degree in Studio Music and Jazz from the University of Miami.
