Dave Chavarri

Dave ChavarriBorn in Lima, Peru, Dave Chavarri moved to New Jersey at age 11. He is the founder, producer, and manager of the highly successful band Ill Nino. Ill Nino has sold over 1.3 million units worldwide on all 4 releases, and has performed all over the world with acts Ozzy Osbourne, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Godsmack, System of a Down, Sevendust, P.O.D. and many others.

As the former drummer of Soulfly, Pro-Pain, M.O.D., Merauder, Laaz Rockit and Gothic Slam, Chavarri has more than 25 years of experience behind the kit. He has been interviewed by many major Metal and Drum publications, in addition to having appeared in several music videos that have aired on MTV, and Fuse TV.

During the last ten years, Dave has written with and produced many great bands including Ill Nino, Exilia, May The Silence Fail, Violent Delight, and many others selling over 2 million records as a producer, drummer, and writer. Throughout his career Chavarri has co-produced and worked along side multi-platinum selling producers such as: Ron Saint Germain (Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cure, Tool, U2), Jay Baumgardner (Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Korn, P.O.D.) and Bob Marlette (Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Seether, Shinedown, Saliva).

Dave is a one of a new breed of drummers integrating Latin percussion with conventional drumset sonics.
